The residential block of 500 sqft is a simple linear form with a small verandah. A local village family wanted an affordable house with a habitable room, kitchen, store room & a toilet. Laterite stone & basalt stone walls blend with nature as well as eliminate external plaster & painting cost. Solar panels on the roof makes the block self sufficient since there is a frequent power outage in the village.
